His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan pursued his undergraduate studies at Baselious College, Kottayam (1966), and Mar Thoma College, Thiruvalla (1969). After earning a Bachelor's degree in Science, he enrolled at Leonard Theological College, where he completed his Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) degree in 1972. He was ordained as a Kasseesa (priest) on February 24, 1973.
Between 1979 and 1980, he pursued studies in Comparative Religions at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan. He later continued his theological and academic studies at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, where he earned both his Master of Arts (M.A.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees between 1980 and 1986.
On December 9, 1989, he was consecrated as an Episcopa alongside Mar Athanasius and Mar Coorilos. Since his ordination in 1973, he has faithfully served numerous parishes, including Mumbai Santacruz, Calcutta, parishes across Canada, Rochester (USA), Nanthancode, and St. Paul's Church, Calicut. He also served as the founding Director of the Thomas Mar Athanasius Orientation Centre, Manganam.
Following his consecration as Episcopa, he was entrusted with the Kunnamkulam–Madras Diocese. Over the years, he has shepherded several dioceses of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, including Kunnamkulam–Malabar, Tiruvananthapuram–Kollam, Chennai–Bangalore, Malaysia–Singapore–Australia, and North America–Europe.
He currently serves as the Diocesan Bishop of the Niranam–Maramon, Mumbai, and Ranni–Nilackel Dioceses.
On July 12, 2020, during a special service held at Poolatheen Chapel and officiated by The Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan in the presence of the bishops, clergy, and laity of the Church, he was conferred the title of Suffragan Metropolitan.
On November 14, 2020, he was installed as the 22nd Mar Thoma Metropolitan, the supreme head of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. The installation service was held at the Dr. Alexander Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan Smaraka Auditorium, Tiruvalla, marking the beginning of his ministry as the spiritual leader of the Church.
